Feel good story in Ring of Honor : PCO new World Champion

11:35pm EST

* Live on Fite TV pay-per-view the world witnessed Ring of Honor’s biggest show, Final Battle ‘19, and from start to finish it was a great show featuring a new World Television Champion and new World Tag Team Champions, but the biggest moment of the night came at the end when wrestling fans all over the world witnessed a true feel good story come to life.

* Just as former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and future Hall of Famer Kofi Kingston got his well deserved moment of glory at WrestleMania 35 this past spring, we saw another great story come to a good conclusion as former WWE tag champion and reigning ROH World six man tag champion PCO (Carl Joseph Yvon Ouellet) defeated the formerly undefeated Rush to become the new ROH Heavyweight Champion of the World in Baltimore, Maryland.

* With just 17 days before his 52nd birthday the man once known as Pierre and Jean-Pierre LaFitte, PCO became the champ-champ as he is the co-holder of the world six man belts with Villain Enterprises and is now a 51 year old World Heavyweight Champion and it was absolutely awesome.  Fact is, he deserves this and with the way he puts his body on the line on a nightly basis (which is why he’s had the respected career resurgence) it’s something this writer imagines fans all over the wrestling world are happy with.

*PCO, the new ROH World Champion!
