HubbardWrestlingWeekly© WWE Survivor Series Team & Match Predictions

11/9/22: On this day exactly 25 years ago, the Professional Wrestling world changed forever when Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart defended the WWE World Championship against ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels in a match wrestling fans know as the “Montreal screwjob” .  Now we stand a quarter-century down the road where HBK’s best friend, former WWE Champion and current WWE executive Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is attempting again to change the course of history as for the 1st time ever World Wrestling Entertainment presents: Survivor Series War Games.

Ever since former WWE chairman Vince McMahon left the company abruptly this past Summer, Triple H has taken the reigns and become head of creative for the company, amongst other responsibilities.  Since his promotion, there have been some hits and there have been some misses (check Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© archives as EPW & HWW talk about this in ‘Clash of the Podcasts’ Ep. 10), but overall this writer believes “the Game” has done a quality job thus far with more improvements to be made.  One glaring improvement that WWE needed to address right away has been addressed and will play out on pay-per-view November 26th, 2022 as what was once WWE’s 2nd most historically significant event of the year since 1987, fell into a boring, non-storyline related waste of time since 2017, is now back to being must-see television as former WCW classic match War Games is now the main attraction for this years Thanksgiving weekend premium live event. In other words, Survivor Series actually means something for the first time in a long time.

As of this writing very few details of who will be in the 2 war games matches have been revealed, so Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© is proud to bring you it’s official predictions of who will fill out the 5-person teams set to go to war November 26th.   Thus far its been announced that WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will captain a team where her teammates so far are Asuka and Alexa Bliss.  The former Women’s Tag Team Champions being on this team makes all the sense in the world considering Bianca challenged the newly crowned 2-time Women’s Tag Champions Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) captained by their Damage CTRL faction leader Bayley, who recently was defeated by Belair in a Last Woman’s Standing match at Crown Jewel.   A key component in Sky and Kai regaining the tag belts was the interference of Nikki Cross. The former “almost superhero” and woman believed to have seemingly retired the WWE 24/7 title (though her aim at throwing the title away was a little off), is back to her wild and unpredictable ways and will be joining Dakota, Iyo and Bayley on their team in less than 3 weeks.  That leaves 2 spots on Team Belair and 1 spot on Team Bayley that remain to be solidified. So who will round out those teams?

((Predicted)) Team Bianca:

Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© Prediction:

Naomi and Sasha Banks will join Raw Women’s champ Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa at Survivor Series in a major shock/return sure to make the fans go absolutely crazy with excitement!

((Predicted)) Team Bayley:

Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© Prediction:

Charlotte Flair returns after several months off to join Damage CTRL & Nikki Thanksgiving Weekend in War Games.

As for the men’s side of things, at the time of this publication, no participants have been announced for the War Games match, however this writer and most of the wrestling world believes that it is a virtual guarantee that WWE’s top storyline, top faction, and top feature The Bloodline will be in the main event.  So, who will face The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, The ‘Street Champion’, the ‘Honorary Uce’ at the Thanksgiving classic?

((Predicted)) Team Roman:

Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© Prediction:

Roman Reigns and The Bloodline as a whole has been the best thing on WWE television for over a year, if not longer. They will undoubtedly be one of the Survivor Series War Games teams.

((Predicted)) Team Drew/New Day:

Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© Prediction:

This match has to make sense, and with the exception of Bray Wyatt being added (which is a stretch, but would be amazing), these 5 competitors make the most sense as it relates to storyline and crowd excitement.  McIntyre just fought Roman Reigns in September in the best match of his career. He wouldn’t be victorious that night, but being on a Survivor Series team against the Tribal Chief after that effort and a win against Karrion Kross in a steel cage at WWE Crown Jewel makes sense.  The New Day also has issues with the Bloodline and could be Undisputed Tag Champions by the time we get to Survivor Series.  Whether they become the new champs and retain their position as longest reigning tag champions in history or not, either way, the former WWE Champion and current King of the Ring being on this team works.   And lastly, how cool would it be to have 2 guys who can’t stand each other join forces to combat a mutual enemy?  That narrative literally writes itself, which is why this writer is adding United States Champion Seth Rollins and Riddle to the team.

So there they are! These are the predicted teams Hubbard Wrestling Weekly© feels are the best fit for WWE Survivor Series War Games.  Be sure to compare and debate your picks and whoever WWE decides to put in these matches in the coming weeks with our predictions on our social media platforms (@Hubb_Wrestling on Twitter, @HubbWrestlingWeekly on Instagram, and @HubbWrestling_MVP on Tik Tok).
